Kääntöpöytä – Turntable
Turntable is a community farm located at the Pasila railway yard, a laboratory for sustainable food production and urban planning, and a center for peer learning and urban culture.
Pasila railway yard has been an environmental organization Dodo ry, the starting point of urban farming since 2009, when the first urban vegetable garden was established. Founded in 2012, Kättöpöytä functions both as an experimental field for urban farming and as a source of learning and inspiration. Talks, workshops are organized on the turntable, people enjoy the sun and public events, learn about organic farming and take the seed of growth to other parts of the city.

Serving snacks from waste food!
At the 9th of June work party we are going to plant peas and beans! 🌱🍅

Chiara ja Rene on helsinkiläinen akustinen duo, joka esittää Ella Fitzgeraldin ja Sarah Vaughanin kaltaisten artistien suuren lauluperinteen jazz-standardeja yhdistettynä Olivia Deanin moderniin ja sielukkaaseen soundiin. Heidän musiikkinsa yhdistää intiimejä jazz-sovituksia nykyaikaisiin vaikutteisiin luoden lämpimän ja rennon tunnelman.

It`s a pleasure to introduce this year`s Urban Action Day artists. On Saturday evening, May 23rd, we will be hearing Chiara Orlandi & Rene Willman Duo!
Chiara and Rene are an acoustic duo based in Helsinki, they will perform jazz standards from the great vocal tradition of artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, mixed with the modern and soulful sound of Olivia Dean. Their music combines intimate jazz arrangements with contemporary influences, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
